Sharing in that same heart's desire of our God

Updated: May 24

After this beautiful week, which will certainly have sequels, I travelled to Poland. Here I was able to live with my TJCII sister in her flat in Krakow for over three weeks. This has been a time of more introspection, long times with God and a beginning of resting and reflecting. I have also had beautiful encounters: with TJCII friends, with the mother of my TJCII sister, with homeless people, with friends from the US, with a Jewish community from Geneva, with people from a local Catholic charismatic community, and more. I'm not actually a city person, but I LOVE Krakow!

My last stop on the way to Holland was the TJCII family weekend at Lake Balaton in Hungary. 4 Days we had together with people associated with TJCII from all corners of Europe. It has been a super-rich time, with much of God's presence, beautiful encounters, a wealth of cultures and profound moments of prayer. I realised again there: how privileged I am, and how privileged we of TJCII in Europe are, to be able to be with so many people, all sharing in that same heart longing of our God for restoration and unity in the Body of Messiah.

Tired but satisfied, I then travelled back to the Netherlands with the Dutch delegation. I have been here since early December and it is still a time of further resting, processing (e.g. writing various reports), reflecting and looking ahead. I notice, that here in the Netherlands, I don't necessarily have the space to do all kinds of things and see people. I do regret that, but I am also grateful that the Netherlands is just allowed to be a haven of peace for me. As for looking ahead, the last week has suddenly become much clearer.
