Isaiah 40:1 in action

Following the time in Israel, I spent a few more days in Cyprus with my friend. That was another very good time of real encounters, both with my friend and new friends of hers, and with some Israelis. Cyprus has always had close ties with Israel, but in this time of war, Cyprus is more than ever a haven for Israelis, who need to escape the violence of war for a while. So when we went on a small mountain hike with 4 friends, the path was full of Israelis. With 1 young family from Israel, we interacted nicely for a while. We testified of our love for Israel, assured them of our prayers and encouraged them. It is such a privilege to be able to express in words to the Jewish people what our hearts are full of. And it is then even more special to see how much that purpose touches! That is Isaiah 40:1 in action: Comfort, comfort My people, says your God.
