Between God and me

At the end of my previous letter, I wrote, I was going to Slovakia for a wedding. Like the wedding in Austria (see my previous newsletter), this one was very beautiful, but completely different from that wedding. Here, too, I got to experience something of God's kingdom. At this wedding I really experienced the nakedness with which we stand before God, in a good way! By this I mean, that we stand deeply alone before God (in this case the bride and groom stood alone before God) and that no human being, not even a minister of God, can shape our relationship with God. That relationship is really something between God and me, between God and you, without an intermediary. And God wants such a direct, intimate relationship with us. In fact, I am convinced, that without that intimate relationship with God, we will not be equipped, for what is to come. So let's invest in intimacy with God, just you and me with Him.
